As a student at San Diego High School, in the heart of Downtown San Diego, I get to commute through the City College station every day and talk to students and residents from all walks of life. It's given me a deep appreciation and love for our city, its diversity, and vibrant culture, and so I want to make sure it stays a place that anyone can call home.
Nehemiah is an architectural designer at Di Donato Associates, currently working on projects that will deliver over 100 units of housing combined. He is a graduate of the NewSchool of Architecture and Design in Downtown San Diego, and a first-generation immigrant who has developed a deep love for the city.
I am currently an accountant at a property management company in San Diego, currently pursuing a Real Estate license. I am very interested in transit oriented communities and transit in general. I believe that being able to know about what projects are going on around you is incredibly important in being involved in San Diego, and our goal is to help with this by providing information about these projects and plans to help shape the future of this great city.
I've grown up on San Diego's transit, riding the bus and Trolley since I was 3. This has led me to become an avid supporter for transit and to realize how hostile the city can be to pedestrians. I really believe that this city needs a better urban environment to sustain and grow, and it gives me joy to see the city develop in a positive direction.
I’ve lived in San Diego my entire life, and I truly believe that this is about as close to paradise on earth as it gets. Our city is not without its major problems, the housing crisis, car dependency, and the homelessness crisis. As someone who was born here I feel obligated to help make this city a place that people can live in, and not let it become an enclave for the ultra-wealthy. These problems that we face as a city are not unconquerable, we can have a San Diego that is both beautiful and welcoming to all.
I'm an 11th grade IB student @ San Diego High School, living in downtown. Since I live so close to school, I either walk or take transit there every day. I’ve lived in California my whole life, and I really love this state! I also hope to travel and explore many more places across the US and the world. That being said, I am aware of the many challenges we face here and abroad, with a particularly relevant one being the housing crisis. I know that with a collective effort we can fix these major yet completely solvable problems, and I believe this project is a piece of the solution. I am very glad to be a part of this team as we work towards building a better San Diego for everyone!
